Car Test Parts Facilitator - Wheels and Tyres

Liaise with Brakes design and development teams to define spare parts requirements to support test trips. Order wheels and tyres and other parts through OEM procurement systems. Raise internal movement documents to facilitate outward and return shipping of wheels and tyres to test venues Load/Un-Load wheels and tyres on delivery or dispatch and confirm deliveries and dispatch match orders. Label and store all incoming goods and enter into the stock control system. Assist in the development of a stock control system for Brakes development teams support components including wheels and tyres.

Skills Required:
Good verbal and written communication skills. Good organisational skills. IT literacy to manage e-mail and internal ordering systems, and to manage material storage. Good knowledge of automotive components. Clean UK driving licence for Category B vehicles. Ability to work within Health and Safety Risk Assessments making appropriate use of PPE and Lifting and Carrying equipment.

Skills Preferred:
Ability to operate a fork lift truck and other lifting and handling equipment appropriate to the tasks (training will be made available). Tyre fitting and wheel balancing (training will be made available). UK Driving licence for categories BE and C1.

Experience Required:
Experience of stock control processes. Experience of facilitating stock movements.

Experience Preferred:
Experience in an automotive parts storage or component logistics organisation.

Education Required:
GCSE or equivalent in English language and mathematics.

Education Preferred:
Automotive mechanics/Vehicle maintenance.
