Electrical Assembly / Build Technician

Our client is a high precision, low volume, machining company with links to motor racing powertrain
They are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical Assembly/Build Technician up to the end of November 2012.
Reporting to the Build and Test Team Leader, the individual will work as part of a team on a key project, responsible for the development, assembly and test of electrical control boxes and associated wiring looms, as well as supporting test set up.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Engineering Apprenticeship
* HNC / BTEC in Electrical or Electronics
* Good understanding and practical experience of electrical and electronic systems including instrumentation.
* Experience of loom development, manufacture and test
* Some knowledge of mechanical systems
* Aptitude for MS Office
* Good communication and housekeeping skills.
* Thoughtful systematic approach
* Ability to manage time effectively, sometimes whilst working to aggressive timescales.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, sometimes weekends to meet the demands of the business.
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES:
* Knowledge of instrumentation
* Experience of working in a similar environment (development, test house)
* Familiar with SAP
* Battery awareness
* Mechanical qualification
