Welding Engineer
Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire.
To define, develop and implement robust weld and joint procedures and processes and to ensure continuous improvement in order to optimise the manufacturing business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. To define robust welding procedures and processes in order to maximise our manufacturing area.
2. Responsibility for development of welding processes in order to increase our production capabilities, achieving maximum output and efficiency.
3. Generation and implementation of welding solutions in order to up-scale our current processes and to take products from development to full production.
4. Keep up-to-date with new welding techniques and joint technology in order to facilitate development and ensure continuous improvement of our welding and joining methods and processes.
5. Qualification and transfer of welding procedures into production with a seamless transition in order to facilitate and ensure full (volume) production, including agreed cost and standard times achieved.
As required, take responsibility for mentoring junior engineers, in order to develop the Engineering Department's capabilities
