Our client manufactures an unrivalled range of composite materials and engineered products for many industries. They are now looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to oversee and implement continuous improvement events throughout their global operations, including the oversight of all lean improvement activities.

As the Continuous Improvement Specialist you will manage and facilitate Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous improvement programs including mentoring various project leaders for Operations. Standardisation of the continuous improvement approach globally.
Analyse manufacturing techniques, procedures, and processing conditions. Make effective recommendations to plant and business team leadership and use Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements in the plants.
Track metrics to objectively and continually assess effectiveness of programs, projects, and on-going activities. Report cost improvements and performance gains to appropriate Business team.
Develop, implement, and reinforce consistent use of metrics tracking, project rating, and project reporting across the sites. Advise sites regarding proper lean tool utilization.
Conduct training at various sites, ensuring consistency of continuous improvement approaches and methods. Provide mentoring/training for Lean Events, 5S Workshops, FMEA's, etc.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a technical field such as Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, with solid experience and training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles and techniques.
Certified Lean or Six Sigma Levels (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred)
Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement programs with measurable results.
Proven ability to manage and direct cross-functional technical/project teams.
Ability to develop, evaluate, and manage process parameters for manufacturing composite or related materials.
Strong proficiency with current MS Office software and statistical analysis software, such as Minitab, CrystalBall, or LIMS.
Strong oral and written communication skills to support interactions with all levels of the organization.
Multiple language capability desired for English, French, German, and Spanish but not required.
This role requires 50+% travel therefore the successful applicant must be willing and able to travel within the UK and abroad.
