The main purpose of the job is Project Engineering Support in Aerodynamics. Promotion prospects are excellent dependent upon individual performance and business growth.
Key functions will include:
- Working alongside and supporting Senior Aerodynamicists.
- Model preparation, meshing, CFD analysis and post processing of results using commercial and in-house tools.
- Raising the profile of the business" Aerodynamics capability and helping to generate new opportunities.
- Work to strict timescale and budget constraints including close interaction with customer engineers and managers.
- Provide engineering support during wind tunnel test including design recommendations.
- Data analysis and preparation of technical reports.
Candidate requirements:
- Good first degree, a minimum of 2:1.
- Minimum of 3 years in Automotive Aerodynamics.
- Experience of organising and running wind tunnel tests.
- Three years experience with the use of CFD codes for external aerodynamics simulations.
- Proficiency in CFD model creation for complex geometries. FLUENT and OPEN FOAM CFD code experience would be an advantage.
