Electronics Packaging Team Leader

£30.20 - 30.20 per hour
Provide team leadership, delegate and control of the electrical packaging tasks for programmes, utilising the C3P NG toolset. Lead and coordinate compatible package solutions for electrical components around the vehicle, fulfilling all electrical requirements and that are acceptable to all other CoCs, Manufacturing, service, Marketing, HMI and design. Responsible for securing packaging sign-off of all new installations from all stakeholders. Ensure all packaging solutions adhere to packaging design standards. Own and/or lead the creation and maintenance of electrical design solutions for a given programme(s). Responsible for the resolution of package incompatibilities. Responsible for the generation and maintenance of programme specific CAE request pack. Assist Programme Leader/Engineer and or Module Leader/Component Owner in the population and maintenance of the DPA tracker. Run weekly reviews to demonstrate CAD data progression/maturity in order for component stakeholder to populate DPA. Responsible for the design of fully production worthy mounting systems that adhere to our design guidelines and meet our durability and timing requirements. Coordinate, present and report package feasibility and status. Provide all necessary intra and inter Departmental support in delivery of given programme(s). Including preparation and presentation of packaging escalation material for all Project and CPE/CFE reviews (SM sheets). Responsible for the maintenance of Packaging for EDS cost and weight optimisation data sheet. To be included as part of the SM sheet pack. Develop and reinforce existing relationships with Vehicle Engineering and APC. Lead responsibility to ensure timely and accurate data share into respective areas. Ensure that packaging is represented at virtual and physical prototype build events. Support and resolve any arising package issues.
Experience Required:
Project management. Team Leadership. CAD - geometry generation for parts and assemblies.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in an automotive industry would be beneficial. Previous experience of using Catia V5/Tce/Digital Buck is desirable, but not essential.
Education Required:
Educated to HNC or HND level in an engineering discipline.
Additional Information:br Support the manager with the delivery of Electrical Packaging Process development and improvement projects. Responsible for escalating to the manager any delivery shortfalls including programme gateway risks, programme assumption changes and skills/personnel gaps within team.
