Advanced Quality Engineer
Gillingham, Norfolk, England

Products - SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Doser Project

To ensure that projects fully satisfy the requirements of TS16949 and APQP
To advise the project manager on steps necessary to comply with the Delphi PDP
System

To advise the project team on best practices and their application so that our target of
95% FTQ is achieved at start of production. Supporting divisional Flawless Launch
Initiative

To advise the project team on all aspects of quality management
Promote excellence in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Integrate APQP into product and process development and assist in changing the
quality planning culture.
Facilitate fast and accurate two-way communication of new information and lessons learned.

Be the subject matter expert on quality planning
Be the Customer advocate
Be positive, encourage, coach, lead, teach, facilitate, etc.
Help develop solutions, not just point out problems (be a coach, not a cop)
Assist project teams in the development of APQP project plans
Participate in technical reviews and design reviews
Facilitate and support development of Characteristics Verification Matrix
Review corrective action data, monitor status and capture lessons learned
Provide input for APQP checklists and APQP open issues list
Facilitate and support development of FMEA's
Facilitate and support the identification of special characteristics

Qualifications

Ideally (Mechanical) Engineering Degree plus 3 years industry experience.
Experience in a Quality role and knowledge of TS 16949 and APQP would be an advantage

Project Management Skills (Preferred) Training to be provided to fill gaps.
Personal strengths should include: Customer focused, attention to detail, self confidence, goal orientated, personal initiative and team working.

Must be able to constructively deal with conflict situations. Ability to develop and present technical presentations to customers and others. Must be willing to travel for training, work with customers and for problem resolution on projects as necessary.
