This is a permanent or contract position reporting to the NPI Engineering Manager. As Project Engineer you will be responsible for co-ordinating cradle to grave engineering activity within an automotive body in white welding environment. You will be expected to co-ordinate internal and external resource to achieve all project objectives and to manage/report status of cost, quality and timing for assigned projects. You must understand modern safety standards and ensure that contractors are designing new equipment in line with this and also that contractors are operating safely whilst on company premises.
You will be responsible for tooling buy off, installation of press lines and automation assembly line. You will be responsible for taking project from drawing through to full production.
Experience with Pressing and Automation Assembly essential.
Apprenticeship trained or degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
