Lead Sustaining Engineer
Bristol/Cheltenham/Gloucester

The ideal candidate will possess the unique ability to work under pressure, leading engineering disposition of real-time and sometimes critical customer facing issues. The right candidate will strive to resolve issues impairing the operations/fulfillment teams' ability to deliver while maintaining sound engineering decision-making fundamentals. The lead sustaining engineer works directly with Customers, Manufacturing Engineering, Lab, Assembly / Test, Quality Assurance, and suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Customer designated signatory for authorized concessions
- Work directly with customer to define/increase local signatory authorization
- Develop/update of engineering portions of internal operating Concession procedures
- Assure compliance with internal Concession procedures
- Engineering focal for Concession audits
- Develop and integrate Global resources in Concession process
- Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain in process development/improvement
- Work with Product Improvement Lead to reduce recurring non-conformances and other areas to improve the product
- Bring any safety or integrity issues to the attention of their line manager
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications Required: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeropscaer Engineeering with excellent communication and analytical skills, strong Six Sigma problem solving experience.
Working knowledge of aircraft hydraulic and actuation components.
