Brakes Dynamometer Test Engineer. Role Description:
- Responsible for evening/night-time running of the brakes dynamometer facility including organizing maintenance and calibration.
- Organizing design and manufacture of rig fixtures.
- Ensuring test parts are ordered and available for test.
- Organizing and project managing of outsourced work to other external brakes dynamometers.
- After suitable training, writing scripts to run special applications on dynamometer.
- Responsible for storage/retrieval of rigs, fixtures and test parts.
- Documentation and reporting of test results.

Skills Required:
Design and engineering experience at a component and or system level in any of the following areas, mechanical, electrical, electro hydraulic, electro mechanical and pneumatic systems. Experience in braking systems would be an advantage. Must be a good team player with the ability to work within a team of engineers. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to report technical issues across all levels. Must have the ability to manage complex issues is essential to balance the conflicting needs of the business within project timing constraints. Must demonstrate proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Skills Preferred:
Component and system design experience in mechanical, electrical, electro hydraulic, electro mechanical and pneumatic systems. Must be flexible with regard to working hours and be prepared to travel overseas if required. Experience running and maintaining test facilities an advantage.

Experience Required:
As well as the technical background above you need to be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal instruction or guidance as this is an "out of normal hours" role.

Experience Preferred:
Experience running LINK dynamometer or any other dynamometer facility. NVH and/or test measurement experience.

Education Required:
Degree or HNC equivalent in mechanical electrical engineering.
