Vehicle Weight Targets Project Manager

£25.60 - 25.60 per hour
Project management of Vehicle Weight targets and deliverables, including future target setting and balancing. Project manage workload across multi-functional engineers. Status reporting and issue resolution up to Engineering Director level. Co-ordinate and chair Design Efficiency Reviews, using company and competitor data, to assist engineers in vehicle light-weighting. Cascade and track vehicle weight requirements to other engineers. Certification of Masses and Environmental compliance.
Skills Required:
Self-motivated engineer with strong communication skills. Experience of engineering, testing and evaluation. Knowledge of technologies associated with the automotive sector, especially relating to weight reduction. Proven project and time management skills and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision. Able to prioritise own and others time and work load. Deliver under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Prepared to travel to all sites. Full UK driving license. Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
Experience Required:
Experience of vehicle engineering, ideally in a weight-sensitive area.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferred discipline Mechanical Engineering.
