Our client is a leader in it's field and due to rapid growth has a couple of positions available for expereinced Buyers.  (Direct & In-direct spend)

Role
Develop and implement external supplier and commodity strategies that will drive long-term improvements in quality, cost and delivery, with engagement and support of key stakeholders so as to enhance competitive and commercial performance 

Supplier Relationships
- Lead and co-ordinate supplier relationships and strategies within the designated external buyer supply chain

Cost Management
- Responsible for the creation and/or deployment of cost models (e.g. user friendly cost standards) for designated commodities/services/products
- Working closely with suppliers to drive down cost to ensure development and delivery of agreed financial commitments

Strategic Sourcing
- Involvement in the development and execution of assigned commodity strategy(s)
- Involvement in the development and execution of assigned supplier strategies
- Responsible for the execution of the sourcing process and associated tasks

Delivery and Quality
- Work closely with the other members of the Supply Chain Management Team to ensure World delivery and quality 

Ideally will be educated to degree level &/or CIPS  (or equivalent)

You will have had experience of working with an external supply chain or customers to develop and implement strategies including the negotiation of complex contracts
