Technical Design Manager
Gloucester/Cheltenham/Worcester

A world leader in the design, development and manufacture of highly engineered specialist towing vehicles that are utilised in military and commercial aircraft ground and deck handler.
As a key member of the management team, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Design Manager to head up and manage a team responsible for new product development, mechanical, electrical, design, production and quality engineering, technical publications and aftermarket support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate
- Financial literacy, budgetary responsibility and control
- A can do hands on attitude with the ability to lead highly skilled engineers
- Able to inspire motivate and train employees at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to respond commercially to new business opportunities.
- Should have a minimum of 10 years managerial experience within an engineering / manufacture environment
- Qualified to an Engineering Degree level.
- Supplementary managerial qualifications
- A competent practitioner of world class manufacturing methodologies
- Lean / 6 sigma trained competent in all aspects of process control
- Expert in integrated ERP integrated computer systems
- Project management skills
- International travel to customer with new product introduction and after market
