Respirex International Ltd, headquartered in Redhill, Surrey, are the leading manufacturer of Personal and Respiratory Protective Equipment. They are a uniquely qualified, highly specialised chemical and respiratory protective clothing manufacturer employing state of the art technology in garment material and suit design. All of their protective garments are fully engineered to global safety standards and available in reusable, limited life or disposable materials.

Following a recent lean manufacturing transformation they require a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to assist the Head of Operations.

Main duties and responsibilities:
-Develop and implement the lean transformation process.
-Manage and facilitate continuous improvement activities.
-Help develop the performance measurement system.
-Support the Operations Manager in all aspects of the operation functions.

Qualifications and experience:
-Ideally an Automotive background and preferably degree qualified.
-Hands on experience leading at least two lean transformations in a batch production plant or department, including:
-Determining the future work flow using value stream mapping or process mapping.
-Developing and implementing work cells.
-Managing Kaizen events.

Personal attributes:
-Analytical with good attention to detail
-Systematic (process driven)
-Strong communication skills.
-Able to work with little supervision (self-driven).
