Welding Engineer - Large Scale Fabrications
Location - Wolverhampton
Salary - c£34k per annum
This role will provide technical support to the IPT programmes and engineering.
KEY TASKS:
- Ensuring that all aspects of welding are compliant w.r.t. selection/approval of procedures.
- Co-ordinate all activities required to produce new weld procedure tests to meet the current business and project needs.
- Production of all weld maps/matrices to meet both client and customer requirements.
- Assist/advising manufacturing engineers on welded designs.
- Report nominated WPS and WPQR information into the MLPL process.
- Review/accept all internal and external NDT documentation prior to issuing to LTQR.
- Assist in the development of information and product quality controls to meet current standards and customer requirements.
- Liaise with the PQE to review/accept weld documentation and NDT documentation from the supply chain.
- Ensuring that all visual, NDT and Inspection processes are implemented and completed by SQEP using approved procedures and calibrated equipment.
- Managing all aspects of consumables in accordance with British standards and customer specifications
- Report any non-conformance issues through the business processes with proposals for corrective actions.
- Assist with any preventative measures identified to control the fabrication processes.
The successful candidate must be CSWIP 3.1 and have experience in Large scale fabrications, Weld Procedures, NDT Inspections and Shop Floor Inspections.
