Research and Technology Development Engineer

£21.10 - 21.10 per hour

The engineer is responsible for delivery of test activities relating to PT Research and Technology projects. They will be responsible for reporting test results into the project leaders and hardware/test facility owners. The engineer will lead development and delivery of detailed plans to support hardware procurement/installation and testing across a number of Gasoline focused projects.

Skills Required:
Self driven with a strong engineering background, excellent team working skills and an understanding of Product Development processes, instrumentation and test facilities. Knowledge of engine dynometer facilities and test methods is essential.

Skills Preferred:
Good analytical skills and PC skills Excel, Word and Project. Working knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engine, powertrain systems and calibration. Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping. Must have a valid driving license for use in the UK.

Experience Required:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are required. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline or suitable previous experience.

Education Preferred:
Degree preferred but not essential.

Additional Information:
Frequent travel to UK based test facilities and occasional travel to European test facilities will be required as part of the role.
