Base Engine Key System Development Leader

The role is for key system development leader within the base engine department. This technical leadership role requires expertise in engine testing, data analysis, report writing, issue resolution and fault diagnosis. Candidates must be technical leaders capable of managing a small team, and providing technical guidance and decision making.

Skills Required:
The base engine development department is undergoing growth and needs specialist engineers with delivery experience in areas of petrol/diesel system engineering. Essential skills include: indepth knowledge of base engine systems engineering in a development/test environment. High level of communication and organisational skills. An in depth knowledge of engine test methods on dyno. A deep working knowledge of at least one specialised area of the engine attribute department, combustion, performance, economy or emissions development on either petrol or diesel engines.

Skills Preferred:
Development experience on Euro6 Diesel and or Petrol engine projects. A DOE approach to engine testing and optimisation. Use of Concerto data analysis software. Fault diagnosis/development aid experience with INCA. Experience with 8D problem solving technique.

Experience Required:
Candidates must have gained experience within an automotive OEM or engineering consultancy and have worked on base engine development projects for more that 3 years.
