Integration/Connected Infotainment Systems Engineer

£31.40 - 31.40 per hour

The Engineer will be tasked to assist in the design and development internet enabled infotainment features for our next generation Infotainment systems. Primary duties will be to ensure completion of requirements/specifications, including requirement gap closure for planned projects. Being part of a 'future vision' team, the engineer will have the opportunity to work on proof of concept projects, embracing new and emerging technologies followed by delivery to production systems.

Skills Required:
Analytical approach to problem solving. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently. Innovative mind set, ability to portray future vision/roadmap. General office PC skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project etc. Interest in Cloud base technology and applications.

Skills Preferred:
Experience in the vehicle electronics domain - infotainment design and development. Working knowledge of GSM, 3G mobile cellular connectivity. Working knowledge of MOST/CAN/Ethernet network tools. FMEA, Six-Sigma certification. Good use of information to build and present a point of view. Embedded (Automotive) systems background. Experience of developing one or more of:- media players, navigation, hands-free telephony, wireless communications, vehicle diagnostics, user-interface/HMI development.

Experience Required:
Electronic system/product design and development experience. Working knowledge of browsers (e.g. Chrome, Opera, Safari) for embedded and mobile environments and use of HTML5. Experience of writing system requirements, including use of UML/SysML and DOORS. Working knowledge of one or more of the following OS:- Linux, QNX, Meego.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level, in either Electronics, IT or Systems related engineering degree.
