Sports Cars Programme Management is responsible for the product management of a number of new and current lines. The department is part of PD Operations with matrix responsibility to the Chief Programme Engineer. Complex Quality is a new activity within the Launch process that focuses on some of the potential high hurt/variable issues on the vehicle which could have a significant impact on the Perceived Quality and Function.

Through the formation of cross function teams across engineering, manufacturing and launch, specific focus is targeted around these areas of the vehicle from the VP stage of the program to ensure successful delivery is achieved ahead of Job#1. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of defined projects associated with Complex Quality in conjunction with the cross functional teams.

The role will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Facilitate and support daily Complex Quality Reviews.
- Assess latest status of component/systems in relation to Complex Quality Areas and provide insights and recommendations to deliver required level of Quality.
- Support each of the build phases in the program and measure and report status on each of the Complex Quality areas engaging the relevant engineering and manufacturing teams as required.
- Support and facilitate Ecube reviews working with the engineering teams to ensure latest parts are fitted and assessed ahead of each milestone event.
- Liaising closely with PCPA, CAA and Company Quality to ensure alignment with Launch teams during Quality reviews.

Skills Required:
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. An understanding of Product Development processes and programme delivery principles are essential. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a "passion for the product" are personal qualities needed to succeed in this environment, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery would be beneficial. Previous experience within Programmes, Core Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Launch experience are considered desirable, with a good knowledge of product development processes. A 6 Sigma mindset using a logical and structured approach to problem solving, with high attention to detail.

Experience Required:
An understanding of Product Development processes and programme delivery principles are essential. Experience of Project Management in the automotive industry/sector preferred. Background in Body Engineering.

Education Required:
Applicants should preferably be qualified to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.

Education Preferred:
Qualified 6 Sigma Black Belt would be beneficial.

Additional Information:
Travel will be required between the Castle Bromwich, Browns Lane, Gaydon and Whitley sites.
