Contract Crash Technician

Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.

Due to increase in workload, they currently have an immediate requirement for a Contract Crash Technician, to work as part of a dedicated test team setting up Crash/Impact tests within Safety Development.

Reporting to the Laboratory Test Supervisor /Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:

* Installing and preparing test rigs , customers parts refit, and full vehicle preparation (draining, ballasting, painting)
* Fit transducers for gathering data
* Setting up data acquisition equipment/ mechanical fitting
* Fulfil maintenance HandS schedules and housekeeping.

Appropriate training for a suitable candidate can be given


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

* City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent
* Mechanical/Electrical Vehicle fitting - Automotive or similar

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

* Electrical / Electronic/Mechanical Qualifications
* Fork lift truck driving and Welding certification (non-essentials)
* Mechanical/Instrumentation and Data Acquisition
