Client Information
My client a market leading mechanical handling company. They offer a full range of bespoke Mechanical Handling solutions for a variety of industry sectors. The company also offer a range of supporting service including, servicing and Electrical Control Systems

Job description
-Working within the Projects Team working on a number of bespoke mechanical handling projects across a variety of industry sectors, including Nuclear and Power Generation.
-Will be involved in projects from initial meetings with client through to delivery
-Fully conversant with Solidworks or Pro Engineer.
-Produce clear and accurate designs in line with project specification.
-Will be producing calculations for structural work and motors.
-Working closely with both Sales and Projects team
-Produce parts lists and relevant supplier technical documentation and quotations
-Candidates should have experience of working with MathCad software
-Ensure all documentation and correspondence relevant to the project design is up to date and stored within company standards.
-Responsible for quality control of design of process
-Compile technical folder to comply with CE and CDM requirements
-Work within the Health and Safety regulations and comply with CE and CDM

Key skills and experience
-Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
- Previous experience and strong working knowledge of Solid Works or Pro Engineer (preferably) or other 3D modelling software
-Experience of working with CDM regulations
-Experience of designing heavy duty materials handling equipment
-Previous experience within the Nuclear industry preferred
-Candidates should have experience of putting together bills of materials
