Chassis Mounting Systems CAD Engineer

Create CAD geometry (solids/surfaces) for SSA owned concept designs. Support package review meetings and work with relevant CAD designers to resolve component packaging issues. Manage supplier CAD data and input to Teamcentre. Create and publish (in Teamcentre) component drawings.

Skills Required:
Strong communication/team working skills are essential. Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. PC (MS Office) literacy essential. Robust practical knowledge of engineering principles. CATIA v5 CAD experience is essential. Ability to understand and plan resolution of technical issues.

Skills Preferred:
Engineer complex parts and/or assemblies, with particular consideration to part to part interfaces and relationships, including CAE, DFM and DFA and associated requirements. Work with CAD/non-CAD based engineers to extract engineering requirements to incorporate in CAD design.

Experience Required:
Automotive engineering design/development.

Experience Preferred:
Design experience of cast/forged/fabricated steel or aluminium components. Working knowledge of Teamcentre. A working knowledge of OEM Product Creation System (PCS).

Education Required:
HNC/HND or equivalent automotive experience in the above field.

Education Preferred:
Mechanical Engineering Degree.
