Tooling Buyer

Our client is a motorsport organisation based in the Midlands.
They currently have a 12-month contract opportunity for a Tooling Buyer. Reporting to the Purchasing Buyer, the individual will be responsible for:
* Overall responsibility for all sourcing and procurement (including capacity and capability) of Tooling, Fixtures and Fittings.
* Development of key suppliers to improve suppliers performance
* Introducing new suppliers
* Identify and implement savings/cost reduction/productivity objectives
* Achieve purchasing performance KPI's
* Special Projects and,
* Any other reasonable requests
Knowledge, skills and experience required are -
Essential:
* MCIPS and/or degree equivalent
* Purchasing experience in fast paced environment ie: motor racing, automotive, retail etc
* 3 years purchasing experience
* Purchasing experience in tooling
* Negotiation skills
* Commercial Acumen and Legal Aspects knowledge
* Teamwork and co-operation
* Listening, Understanding and Responding
* Energy and Ambition
* Time management
* Global outlook and culturally aware
Desirable:
* SAP knowledge
