CAD Designer
Warwick, Warwickshire, England
Our client is the most diversified automotive supplier in the world, responsible for the design, development and manufacture of automotive systems, assemblies, modules and components.
They are currently seeking to appoint a CAD Designer on a contract or permanent basis
Reporting to the Design Project Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:
* Interfacing with project engineers, styling and suppliers
* Delivering design solutions to program targets and company standards
* Supporting a cross functional team of Designers, Buyers and internal / external Engineers and Specialists.
* Delivering full component designs to required technical performance, weight, cost price, investment, quality and timing targets.
* Supporting internal and external styling and design reviews
* Supporting prototype and production build activities
* Releasing designs and drawings for prototype and production phases
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Qualification in Design Engineering
* Previous experience of interior or exterior design, materials and processes
* Strong CATIA V5 CAD skills and associated systems
* Knowledge of GD+T definition and application
* Experience in customer engineering specifications for interior and exterior commodities
***This role will be based primarily in Warwick but travel is a necessity and thus the requirement for a valid UK driving license***
