Calibration Engineer - Automotive - Initial 6 Month Contract - £28/30 Per Hour LTD Co Rate

An Engine Management System Calibration Engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering is required for an initial 6 month contract for a World leader in the design and manufacture of diesel fuel injection equipment based in Kent.

The EMS Calibration Engineer is required to have an understanding of fuel injection equipment and the engine management systems, executing or managing rig test, engine test and system calibration activities, liaison with client engineers and managers, short term residency at client premises (e.g. climate test trips), troubleshooting and supporting engineering and system calibration activities through to production and beyond.

Responsibilities include but are not limited:
System integration and calibration of CR fuel injection systems on a range of engine applications, both on- and off-highway.
Support to, or responsibility for (depending on skills), aspects of engine and FIE system calibration.
Devising and executing test and analysis work on fuel injection equipment rigs, engines and vehicles.
Client handling, in order to understand and advise the external clients on the design specifications of a particular product.

Must have experience of engine emissions and performance development and calibration.
