Manual Turner - Automotive - Berkshire - £Rate Neg
CNC Turner with experience and understanding of Okuma OSP - IGF Edgecam or similar Mitutoyo CCM off line programming systems is required to work on a contract basis for 3-6 month period for this specialist in transmission technology based in Berkshire.
Reporting to the Turning and Milling Manager you will be responsible for programming, editing and operating a range of Okuma machines to produce transmission system parts to the company's quality standards.
As well as having sound knowledge of Manual Turning, you must be self sufficient enough to make fixtures and tooling, and have experience of working with small batches, sometimes of a complex nature.
Must be able to understand complex engineering drawings and instructions and be able to visualise finished products and have a good understanding of the properties of the materials.
Ideally you will have completed a formal apprenticeship and have general engineering experience including turning and tool making, ideally in the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industries.
