ILS Manager

Join this world leader in missiles and missile systems to work as a key player in a multi-national team to manage Integrated Logistics Support activities on major projects. The role is based in Hertfordshire and is commutable from Hatfield, Hitchin, Royston and Biggleswade.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development phase for all ILS studies and provide the relevant deliverables through effective planning, management and implementation of the programme.
- Deliver the logistic packages embedded in initial domestic and export contracts.
- Manages ILS/CLS reviews and generates plans, schedules, metrics and reports
- Manages external communications briefs for outside agencies in support of CSS Domestic and International Sectors
-Responsible for Support interface with subcontractors
- Propose medium and long term "Product Support Policies" to the CSS Domestic and International Sectors and implement them
- Acquire and retain the product knowledge to ensure through life support
- Attend MoD Programme, Design and Support related Reviews and ensure Support related project drivers are fully understood.
Skills/experience required:
- Technical Management Experience (essential) with an ability to challenge design to optimise support
- ILS Management experience preferred
- Solid technical foundation in Systems engineering or Design engineering and a natural technical curiosity
- Ability to work autonomously
- Influencing skills
- Experience of managing suppliers
- Experience in dealing with Senior Customer(s) and Armed Services End Users.
French language skills would be advantageous
