An Automotive Software Applications Engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

The successful engineer will be responsible for the delivery of Instrumentation software to support our client's Cycle Plan. Supporting and working with Brakes Development customers to automate the post-acquisition data processing, metrics and reporting. Developing a house report style that will be used as part of an automated generation process Scripts, this would be required to be documented/commented so that they can be edited at a later date or reused for further calculations. Further training for Brakes engineers so that they can edit/develop calculations in the future. Develop the required calculations using a consistent method to create an analysis tools library.

Our client requires an engineer with the following skills:
- Visual Basic scripting in conjunction with National Instruments DIAdem software
- Knowledge of Data Processing techniques
- Understanding of metrics and reporting requirements for test data.
- Ability to collate inputs from users and by examining existing analysis tools to create a specification.
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems and data processing
- Evidence of successfully implemented scripts for data processing and reporting
- Knowledge of Foundation Brakes tests and the associated metrics would be beneficial
- Knowledge of XCP scripting may be desirable for a further project
- Ideally educated to degree level in Engineering or IT
