The role is to support the planning and logistics of Electrical Engineering facilities which are currently based at Whitley and are required to be relocated at Gaydon. As part of the relocation of the whole Electrical Engineering department to Gaydon, new workshop facilities are required on the Gaydon site and the role involves working across the Electrical Engineering department to collate facility requirements, understand budget and finance plans, and assist the site services department in the planning and design of a world class engineering facility.
Skills Required:
Key skills include understanding facility planning and logistics, together with the ability to facilitate cross department meetings, documenting requirements and negotiating with the site services department.
Skills Preferred:
The ability to present facility plans, options and budgetary information to senior management would be an advantage.
Experience Required:
Experience in facility planning and logistics is required as well as experience of working with cross business teams.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in Electrical Engineering facilities would be an advantage, or experience in Civil Engineering planning.
Education Required:
Degree level in an Engineering discipline preferred but not essential.
Education Preferred:
Civil Engineering qualification in facility management would be an advantage.
Additional Information:
Role based at Gaydon with some travel required to Whitley, as all current facilities are on the Whitley site.
