Lead Mechanical Engineer - Automotive - Coventry - £Excellent Rate

A Lead Mechanical Engineer with previous hybrid systems, integration, calibration and development experience is required to work on the design and testing for this leading engineering company.

The successful applicant will be required to support the development of Switched Reluctance (SR) motor structural design and NVH development along with system thermals and vehicle integration techniques in co-operation with hardware, software and system/calibration co-workers and external development partners.

Candidates should be degree qualified or equivalent experience plus other qualifications in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Mechanical bias).
Experience of engine and Powertrain systems design and development is essential.
A demonstrated strength in use of process improvement techniques and tools (eg DFMEA, 8D, 6 Sigma) would be desirable.
