Quality Engineer

Our client is an internationally successful defence, security, transport and energy company with a long, consistent track record of development and growth.

Our client has new requirement for Quality engineer to work within the quality assurance team based at their Cheltenham site. Attractive salary c£22k to c£40k dependant on experience.
Key Duties will include:

-Act as a focal point for Product / Process Quality Issues
-Involvement with Internal Corrective Actions and Dispositions
-Support Concessions and Engineering Change Request (ECR's)
-Work with Customer's Quality Assurance Representatives
-Perform First Article Inspection activities - validate suppliers FAIR's and complete Internal Product FAIR's
-Perform Internal Quality Audits of the Company's processes to ensure compliance with recognised quality management standards, i.e. AS9100.
-Lead and facilitate improvement activities
-Represent the Company both on-site and at Customers / Supplier sites when required

Attributes:
-Successfully completed relevant academic qualifications(s) to HNC/D Level
-Familiarity with electrical and electronic products and manufacturing processes
-Willingness to learn and to be a team player
-Tenacious and enthusiastic
-Business improvement experience (Lean / Six Sigma)
-Eligible to drive company vehicles
