Our Client is a World Leader in the innovation, Design and Manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment are now looking for a contract Calibration Engineer to work as a team member responsible for engine calibration development to achieve new levels of emissions legislation, fuel economy targets and application requirements.
Based at the heavy duty diesel technical centre, the role will be particularly varied.
It will involve investigation of system concerns and traditional calibration activities.
Frequent use of engine test cells, diesel test rigs, bench simulators and other climatic chambers is expected.

The nature of this position is particularly flexible, with a wide range of interesting engineering challenges to be faced daily.

Further tasks may involve visits to customer sites to support existing engine test resource, the successful candidate should therefore be prepared for some foreign travel to be mutually agreed.

An extensive and broad ranging opportunity for a candidate interested in the area of diesel fuel injection and associated control systems.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with proven hands on engine base calibration experience involving daily use and operation of engine test beds.
Vehicle calibration experience will be considered supplementary.
Experience with calibration processes and tool-chains such as ATI Vision, ETAS Inca, AVL Cameo and Puma;
Working appreciation of embedded control techniques including being able to follow Matlab / Simulink diagrams;
