Role: Marketing Representative (1642806)

Location: Peterborough

Contract: 12 months

An exciting opportunity for a communications specialist has arisen with the Marketing Communication Services team. This is an opportunity for an individual with strong written skills and who has an interest in developing external communications and brand reputation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing innovative and creative text. A strong communicator, the candidate will be comfortable dealing with internal and external contacts at all levels.

This role has specific responsibility for supporting the Communications Manager with press handling with the local media and the development and delivery of external communications plans. As part of the role the candidate will drive the delivery of a suite of promotional materials to support the sales teams.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelors degree in an accredited Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, or Engineering Technology curriculum. Other degrees in Business or Engineering will also be considered.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication and leadership skills. Must be willing to travel extensively (50-70%) as well as relocate based upon business needs.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze sales opportunities, review pricing practices, assist with new product information releases, and develop competitive analysis for the assigned industry.
• You will also be involved with the development of marketing strategies for assigned rotational workgroup/industry.
• Assist/lead projects related to global dealer operational excellence, working closely with Distribution Service Divisions.
• Develop a strong understanding of product application and proper maintenance practices, and be able to articulate product issues as well as proposed solutions.
• Develop a network of service engineering teams to assist with product/application questions.
• Understand warranty/goodwill policies and apply effectively in support of field related issues.
