An Electrical Programmes Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Position Description:
The Electrical Programmes Engineer will be a member of the Electrical Engineering Project Leadership team. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the robust and timely delivery of all Electrical deliverables from programme start through Engineering sign-off and launch of a new product at Job1.

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure alignment between Electrical Engineering and programmes teams, other functions e.g. chassis, powertrain, manufacturing, etc. Ensure team priorities are established to deliver project deliverables. Coordinate the resolution of critical concerns to ensure closure . Coordinate change management activities for electrical parts in support of programme timing objectives. Promote use of problem solving tools as appropriate. Ensure targets cascaded from the programme to Electrical Engineering are appropriate to required content and achievable - cost, investment, weight. Ensure facilities/vehicles are available to allow completion of requested design validation work. Co-ordinate BOM validation exercises. Clarify requirements to succeed through clear interpretation of deliverables to Module Leaders and Component Engineers. Support consistent Project Reviews and Senior Escalation reviews to a set format. Weekly publication of programme status sheet, updates of project management tracking tools as required. Co-ordination and tracking of validation plan status for engineering sign off reporting.

Details
Skills Required:
Knowledge and understanding of whole vehicle electrical systems. Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation. Ability to assimilate large quantities of data. Knowledge of Quality/Problem Solving Tools. Excellent presentation skills.

Experience Required:
Able to demonstrate good project management experience and a track record of successful project delivery. Experience in developing new processes and procedures to improve quality and delivery.

Additional Information:
Electrical engineering is currently based at Whitley but will transition to Gaydon over the coming 12 months. The successful candidate will be expected to support activities and meetings within Electrical engineering and at the programme base.
