SQA Engineer

Our client is part of a major international manufacturing organization, with some of the best-known household brands in the world. This site is responsible for the design, engineering development and manufacture of a range of products for domestic and industrial utilization in the UK and abroad.
They are currently looking to recruit an SQA Engineer.
Main Responsibilities:
The SQA Engineer contributes as a member of the Quality team to ensure that the Company is protected from any issues resulting from quality and/or environmental problems arising from our suppliers.
The SQA Engineer has specific responsibility for:
Working with project teams to ensure that purchased parts are sufficiently defined and manufactured in line with Company requirements.
Auditing suppliers to our Company standard both from a quality and an environmental aspect.
Managing the internal audit finding system (Q-Pulse).
Maintenance of records using the appropriate systems and procedures.
Meetings
Visiting suppliers, and liaising with their workforce, as required, to communicate our requirements.
Attending regular meetings with other sites to ensure a common understanding of the companies requirements.
Ensuring that supplier process control is effective.
Supporting the Quality department by providing reports as required.
Contributing towards the maintenance of the ISO quality management system.
Assisting with other activities necessary to support the department/business.
Any other task deemed appropriate by the PT-LG/QMM Quality Manager and within the capabilities of the post holder.
