We are currently recruiting for a Section Manager on a permanent basis in Peterborough.
This busy and challenging area requires individuals with high levels of commitment and the ability to respond quickly and decisively to customer demands in a rapidly changing environment.
As Section Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities:
* Manages and leads the day-to-day activities of the local shifts.
* Manage daily production activity ensuring quality and velocity goals are met.
* Plans and executes performance improvement activities with local teams and management, assembling and facilitating teams as necessary.
* Plans and executes shut down work programmes.
* Carries out regular PDP reviews with all employees to ensure ongoing coaching / advise and career development.
* Identifies and implements required training via the PDP / performance management process for all team members.
* Understand and review area facility performance issues in order to maximise area efficiency, e.g. 5S, OEE, MQ12005, Target Zero, CPS, 6 Sigma, in conjunction with other areas of the business
Qualifications, skills and experience required for the role:
* Desirable to have experience in leading and engaging team members
* Able to deliver projects to time and cost
* PC skills desirable
* Good communicator
* Willing to accept leader training where required
