Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist products for both the civil and defence aerospace industries plus other transportation sectors. An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager. A professional and friendly team atmosphere is evident as well as the opportunity to interface with diverse internal functions and to work with a project from concept to delivery. The Programme Manager will report to the Engineering Manager and will provide leadership and support to individual customers/programmes within a customer facing Engineering team. You will also support and manage changes to customer requirements and new programmes from inception as required by the business. Support will also be required to new business bids. Regular contact with key customers is a prerequisite for this role.
The successful candidate will:-
* Be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
* Have excellent communication skills and be comfortable in discussions at all levels
* Be a strong self starter and able to work on own initiative, whilst at the same time be a team player
* Be financially astute.
* Some overseas travel will be required.
