Hybrid Electrical Systems Engineer
Gaydon, Warwickshire, England

A Hybrid Electrical Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
Working as part of the Hybrid Systems Team the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
•Commissioning of complex electrical systems
•Developing commissioning test documents and ensuring vehicles and rigs are delivered according to project timing
•Supporting with fault finding electrical issues on fleet vehicles
•Liaising with Hybrid Controls Team to determine hardware requirements
•Liaising with Electrical Distributed Systems Team in developing harness requirements
•Liaising with Hybrid Controls Team to determine controls interfaces and developing signal database files to support
•Developing and releasing Electrical Architecture Diagrams
•Reporting and managing issue resolution with AIMS and eTracker

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Experience in fault finding electrical issues in an automotive environment. Knowledge of automotive electrical powertrain systems. Knowledge of hybrid electrical systems would be beneficial. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics standards and Software Down Load concept. Experience in developing electrical test plans to support commissioning of prototype vehicles and rigs. Capable of reading and administering CAN database files (Vector DBC format). Experience of systems engineering and/or complex system integration. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Strong communication skills. Strong organisational skills. A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement.

Details
Experience Required:
CANalyzer, CAPL programming and good computer literacy.
