Facilities / Plant Engineer

Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Facilities / Plant Engineer on a 2 year contract basis.
The individual will be required to work a flexible shift pattern as dictated by the business needs.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for the following:
* To technically manage all Machine Tool and Mechanical plant infrastructure.
* To demonstrate the behaviours and cultural values that are the foundation of the type of service quality we wish to embrace within the organisation
* To work shift patterns as dictated by the business needs
* To pursue the Facilities Engineering strategy for Machine Tool/ Mechanical General Plant and Infrastructure Systems and to maximise your synergies, experience and knowledge to pursue best practise, maximise value and demonstrate real savings by these measures
* To be responsible for all aspects of the following Facilities Engineering - Manufacturing and Mechanical process equipment services:
- Infrastructure
- Quality
- TPM/PPM schedules
- Identification of suitable service and spares suppliers based on QCT
- Risk Management
- Reactive maintenance response - first line diagnosis
- Process/procedures/SOPs/Risk Assessments
- Innovation
* To assist in additional Facilities related services including Operational Risk Management; Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Management and Infrastructure and Plant Project Management.
* Maintain regular links with facility and operational teams.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, CandE, etc)
- At least 5 years of experience within in a Plant/Facilities Engineering Machine Tool Control function in a production environment or a related development environment
- At least 5 years of experience of delivering complex projects across many engineering disciplines
- Proven ability to work in a successfully in a fast paced, highly dynamic and constantly demanding environment
- Ability to challenge ideas while maintaining the respect and confidence of colleagues
- Proven ability to successfully manage, control the scope, and deliver complex control projects
- Ability to calmly trouble shoot and deliver convincing, value money solutions to tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills
Desirable
- Conversant with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
- Experience in controls design and project management
- Experience of AutoCAD
- Experience of Siemens Design software writing
- HV switching
