Our client is a leading supplier to the aerospace sector and are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer initially on a 12 month contract.
We require an experienced Project Engineer with a proven background in delivering projects to agreed budgets and time frames. This role will be to develop, manage and co-ordinate various delivery programmes with a "hands-on" approach, building and maintaining fluid, working relationships across various departments from design, operations, quality through to production. You will have the responsibility to "push" programmes through to positive conclusion and to overcome any obstacles that may arise throughout the process.
You will have experience of interpreting specifications, preparing technical proposals and reports. You will need to be fully conversant in Microsoft Project and Office with excellent organisational skills. An understanding of Microsoft Access would be an advantage. Tasks will include organising weekly programme meetings and addressing any programme hold ups/problems that may occur.
Our client is looking for a person with strong "people skills", someone that can influence and drive teams forward whilst communicating easily with shop floor staff through to senior management - a highly driven individual with proactive personality and strong interpersonal skills. Ideally you will hold a relevant engineering degree, however this is not essential though a proven project engineering background is. Our client operates within the aerospace sector, however experience of this industry is not essential as they will look at applicants from across a variety of manufacturing environments. The emphasis of this role is in the "character" of the person and their ability to deliver projects within a pressurised environment
