Technical Support Engineer
Sittingbourne, Kent, England

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to support internal and external customers.

To support and participate actively in the development of new products and systems.
Respond promptly and professionally to all product and systems enquiries.

To provide phone based technical support to internal and external customers in relation to plasterboard and plaster systems, non.-wallboard product ranges and Exterior Wall Systems.

Respond to requests by phone, fax or mail in order that enquiries can be dealt with promptly and efficiently and problems brought to a satisfactory conclusion without delay.

Provide advice and technical and engineering calculation input such as drawings and design data so that the most suitable solution may be found to design problems and correct products recommended for use.

Respond to requests from other departments for input onto projects requiring technical information such as RandD or Marketing for literature production.
Ideally B (ENG) educated in a building or engineering related field.

Computer literate with working knowledge of CAD preferably AutoCAD, Microsoft Word , PowerPoint and Excel .

Working knowledge of the internet.

Structured problem evaluation and problem solving skills.

Ability to work well as part of a team or own initiative.

Ability to carry out structural engineering queries using calculation and design.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Customer focused.

Level headed under pressure.

Knowledge of plasterboard systems installation and plaster systems advantageous.
