Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.

Due to growth plans a position of Principal Product Engineer has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below: Lead the design and development process for complex and / or critical assigned sub-system(s) from concept through to handover to new product team; responsible for all aspects of form, structure, functional performance, quality, durability, reliability, cost and project timing and for the guidance, development and output of the direct report engineers.

The engineers reporting to the group leader may be dispersed globally to deliver projects to appropriate global markets.

• Support the Chief Engineer in advanced engineering concept selection
• Developing concepts through to readiness for use in customer programs, including verification, analysis and test, using Advanced Engineering technology development process
• To ensure concepts are fit for manufacture
• Manage the engineering costs for product and project
• Liaise with internal and external suppliers
• Work with customer advanced engineering groups in understanding requirements and concept development
• Quantify the critical parameters of the engineering concepts in the technology development phase
• Manage the technical requirements for the concept approval process
• Develop the concept verification approval plan and track activity to the plan
• Lead complex issue and failure resolution processes, using appropriate tools, for processes, architectures and components
  
  Essential Requirements Experience with automotive component industry
  Experience with diesel engines and/or turbochargers
  Experience with complex engineering design projects
  Combined electrical and mechanical experience
