Serial Manufacturing Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer with an established first tier automotive supplier in the West Midlands. Working in a challenging but collaborative environment with a complex, technically innovative product for some of the largest and most successful automotive OEMs in the world.
As Manufacturing Engineer, the main objective of the role is to ensure that during product life the manufacturing processes are monitored, opportunities for improvements are identified, and the internal / external targets are achieved. This role is essentially around PU encapsulation of glass for cars.
The main responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer are:
- Process optimisation based on the 7 wastes principle
- Budgeting for new equipment and CAPEX
- Establishing technical specification for new production equipment
- Developing lean work practices and standardised work processes
- Establish MTM time study and identify standard cycle time per station.
The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have first tier automotive experience, preferably in an assembly plant. German speaking is advantageous, but not essential.
