We are recruiting for a 6-Sigma Black Belt on a permanent basis in Peterborough.
The successful applicant will lead Six-Sigma and Rapid Improvement Workshop (RIW s) projects that contribute directly to improving safety, quality and velocity throughout our Peterborough facility, mindful of further replication potential in the US and Chinese facilities.
In addition, he/she will lead projects that will improve our variable margin, along with period cost reduction opportunity to aid our profitability.
As Six-Sigma Black Belt, the key responsiblities will be:
* Leading 6 Sigma projects and CPS Rapid Improvement Workshops along with accountability for results
* Coordinating quarterly strategy reviews for Operations leadership team
* Actively support continued deployment of the CPS Recipe by delivering CPS training and taking ownership of appropriate CPS assessment questions.
* Take active role in Operations leadership team for PSEL, including undertaking analysis to determine project priorities.
* Building Six-Sigma capability within the Operations Group through: teaching and developing employees, coaching GB lead projects and other activities which promote the effective use of 6 Sigma by all employees
Applicants are required to have the following skills and experience:
Essential -
* Proven leadership experience, with evidence of identified process improvement deliverables
* Project Management experience and demonstrated aptitude for project methodology
* Evidence of coordinating daily activity along with planning and executing future strategy in a busy and/or complex environment
Desirable -
* HND or above in technical or commercial field
* Certified DMAIC Black Belt who is keen to progress in Production System ( Lean Manufacturing - CPS) Operations field. Note: CPS training would be provided for successful applicant if not yet completed.
* Cross functional experience to aid perspective
* Six-Sigma project experience is highly advantageous Six-Sigma Certification is preferred
ASSESSMENT:
* Candidates who have a recognised Six-Sigma Certification or Qualification may still need to attend a Six-Sigma Assessment Centre
* A successful candidate will be required to complete the Six-Sigma training programme upon joining the company
