Business Development Analyst

Our client is looking for an experience Business Development Analyst to identify, appraise, prioritise and promote improvement projects and business strategies that develop and sustain the business
The successful candidate will be required to:-
Work in a professional manner and to follow HSE procedures, aiming to avoid accidents, harm to people and damage to the environment
Participate in site BSA or Compliance audits as required.
Lead and/or undertaking ad-hoc strategic studies (eg Turnaround Strategy Optimisation, Feedstock Optimisation, Solomon Survey Reconciliation, etc).
Supports the bi-annual Solomon submission process and analysis of the output.
Helps maintain the standard project evaluation tools eg:
*DCF calculator
*Appraisal price sets.
*Availability Impact "Ready Reckoner
Identify improvement ideas by working with the FED team and the engineering teams and operations department and ensure growth and sustaining projects are identified, developed and implemented in a timely manner.
Ensure improvement ideas are prioritized, developed, challenged and are robust.
Responsible for ensuring that the business justifications are fully understood and defined.
Develop and articulate the business case betsheet for proposed opportunities ensuring all project boundaries and assumptions are clearly stated.
Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience; including direct refinery experience.
Working with Business Case Models and LP models a distinct advantage.
Supply or Production Planning experience an advantage.
Good understanding of major refinery processes.
Good understanding of refinery business economics
Numerate with good analytical skills.
Ability to identify, analyse and solve complex problems.
Some exposure to the principles of project economics and good project management.
Proficient in Economic Evaluation Methodology (Financial Decision Making).
