An Digital Tuner Components Development Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
Position Description:
Development and Management of Digital Tuner components, creating fully detailed functional, diagnostic specifications and carrying out system sign-off for our client’s vehicles, involving specialist test equipment and detailed analysis of reception data. Resolution of issues arising in conjunction with supplier base.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Specialist knowledge of Digital Tuner functional requirements, knowledge of MOST, CAN, Ethernet and broadcast media carriers, creation of fully detailed specifications and diagnostics. Knowledge of component EMC sign-off, system sign-off, and general issues management. Project management, self motivated, ability to drive supplier, ability to report out status.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of CAN / MOST / Ethernet Software and database administration.

Experience Required:
Desirable - Automotive experience, either in supply base or for OEM.

Education Required:
Engineering or IT Qualification
