A Touchscreen Development Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
The role is centred around the introduction of a new generation of touchscreen displays into our client’s vehicles. The role will include reviewing technical offerings from suppliers and providing technical input to ensure correct supplier is chosen. In addition, supporting the development of the screens and ensuring a successful rollout within the infotainment group of this new commodity.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Knowledge of touchscreen technologies is essential. Knowledge of Embedded Software and Electronics design. Knowledge of Automotive Electronics development. Knowledge of FPDS/GPDS is desirable.
Skills Preferred:
Full UK driving licence. Must have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience in Automotive Product Development is highly desirable. Experience of HMI design. Experience of Automotive Product Development toolsets (AIMS / WERS / eTracker).
Education Required:
Ideally educated to a degree standard in a relevant subject.
Additional Information:
Primarily based at Whitley, but permanent move to Gaydon, Warwickshire in 2012.
