This company is involved in the manufacture of hydrodynamic transmission units (gearboxes) for off-road applications, mainly in the building and agricultural industries.

We require a Quality Inspector with experience of Vernier, Micrometers and CMM.
You will be first point of contact for supplier quality concerns, define severity and introduce containment where applicable. Arrange for inspection by internal resource, supplier or sub contract agency, feedback to internal customer.
Attend Corrective Action Meetings and supplier visits when required to conduct Countermeasure Confirmation Audits to include verification of PFMEA and Control Plans.
You will have experience in Machined Grey Iron Castings, transmission cases (25 to 150kg), SG Iron and Grey Iron Machined housings and shift forks (2kg to 15kg) and Forgings.
Knowledge of the tools and techniques of 6Sigma methodology would be advantageous but not essential and a Quality Engineering Certification is desirable.
