A PHEV Power Electronics Engineer is required to work for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Power Electronics (DCDC Converter, Inverter, Boost Converter and AC Charger) Components Engineer. Working as part of the PHEV Components team, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
•Developing the PHEV Power Electronics towards GTDS (Global Technology Development Process Implementation Readiness Gateway) and to Job 1.
•Capture requirements and develop Design Verification Plan for PHEV batteries.
•Support supplier selection and evaluate various PHEV power electronics concepts.
•Support component sizing activities.
•Capture functional safety, FMEA and robustness requirements.
•Carry out Design Verification tests.
•Work with Packaging team to develop package for Power Electronics.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Experience in robust component engineering development essential. Experience in component design verification testing.

Skills Preferred:
Strong communication skills. Strong organisational skills. A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement.

Details
Experience Required:
Electronic component development experience.

Experience Preferred:
eFDVS, FPDS experience

Education Required:
Degree level qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering or closely related subject.
