Client is one of the largest thermosetting moulding companies in Europe. They manufacture an extensive range of products in engineering thermoset and composite materials for a wide variety of customers, in the aerospace, electrical, automotive, defence and textile industries.

They currently have an urgent 3-6 month contract opportunity for a Quality Technician for their busy Spares Department.

The individual will be responsible for the following:

- Conduct sample inspection of product, packaging, labelling and traceability as part of a dynamic supply chain management and logistics operation.
- Conduct assessments against engineering standards and resolve issues relating to quality, configuration and traceability.
- Work as part of a quality team, responsible for developing and maintaining inspection records and supporting the development of the quality management system.
- Measuring of small and medium sized components using first principles.
- Generation and upkeep of documentation.


Role Requirements:

- Ability to read drawings.
- Able to understand geometric and general tolerances applied to drawings.
- Ability to generate inspection reports and communicate them to supervision.
- An understanding of quality management processes would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of measurement system analysis would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2008, (ISO17025:2005 and ISO14001:2004) standards.
- Internal audit trained to ISO 9001:2008.
- Must be self motivated and capably of working on own initiative and/or within a team.
